Singer and model Christie George kicks into mainstream music starting with her new band Hot Rockin Chics

(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 12, 2010 ) Los Angeles, CA - Hot Rockin Chics has been formed by Frank Thomas, in fact this all girl band is performing like veterans in terms of studio time, composure, choreography, and mere talent. So Christie George and her other fellow band members are in the mist of contract negotiations for a one to three year deal to lock Christie down and the two remaining Hot Rockin Chics as well. all girl bands are rare and so is this one. Christie George although only 24, has almost two decades of performing.

Maybe the gold Record George received in the mail this past week would make someone like Christie George lose focus, but in reality, she hasn't finish dusting the Platinum one from a year ago. This comes from a two year tour -140 shows in 46 cities - with The Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO). She dazzled audiences every night, holding her own, elbow to elbow, with life-long professional singers and doing this at the age of twenty two. The surprising thing about this story is the second year she had prior commitments so had to decline a second tour entirely. But because of the fear of losing her talent, the Trans Siberian Orchestra kept her on salary in case of an emergency.

The tables have turned in the last couple months, George has been getting booked for main events and also teaming up with a MLB home run legend, Frank Thomas, didn't hurt the momentum. George's talent and strive for greatness will be complemented by a sports legend that has already been there. This week she continues to record with her new group, Hot Rockin Chics, in Beverly Hills, CA. From singing national anthems to being invited as a country guest star, Christie George seems to have gotten comfortable with the demand and has her focus on the Hot Rockin Chics. IJR staff was present during some recording and we expect big things to happen for this group of talented artists that just happen to all have the everyday model look to make things even better.
Already completing four songs (As of 11 50 p.m. on May 11th, 2010 and still recording after interview) and filming some possible eventual reality series, Christie told International Journalism Review (IJR) via telephone conference that "My biggest satisfaction to date was being able to write our first song Predator, I love music, love to write, and most of all I love to perform. This song is hot and every person that has heard it, loves it. Frank has a great passion for music and success, so us teaming up makes sense. It was funny, I met a friend of his at a pool I was training waitresses at in Vegas and I sang for him, then he let Frank know how I sounded. It must have been good because we're in LA for more recording."

Christie went on to tell IJR that she had no idea who Frank Thomas was and she giggled when we told her that he was referred to the "Big Hurt" so she doesn't think anything of it other than he is good at identifying talent and putting it together with drive and passion. We asked if she was still training girls at the pool and she said, "Until Frank cuts me a six figure check I need to keep working to pay those bills, so yes I still Cocktail at the Bank in the Bellagio Casino. Yes I will sing for you if you book a table with me but don't expect this to be like a guys or girls annual trip to Vegas to watch Christie George sing and serve drinks, the stage is waiting for me, so email me and book it now rather than later (my manager will take care of you and assure you're in my section, email her flybyladydi at aol."

Having grown up in Peachtree City, Georgia only adds to Christie's southern charm. It is also the beginning of her resume. It was there that she cultivated her undeniable talent as a professional performer. From a young age Christie knew exactly what she wanted to do and what she was good at. For 13 years, Christie wowed audiences singing live in numerous school and community plays, choirs and musical theaters. Georgia began to take notice of her presence as a performer, being a key actress at the Black Box Theater and Fayette Community Theater and a singer with the nationally recognized choir, The McIntosh Singers.

Christie was awarded a full scholarship to Georgia State University and was the single recipient of the Presidential Scholarship for Vocal Performance. Although she enjoyed her academic career and the full scholarship, Christie knew her talent was not being realized and decided it was time to make the inevitable move to Los Angeles to pursue her professional career as an entertainer.

Christie hit the ground running in L.A. and quickly booked work both as a model and an actress with her stunning good looks and “modelesque” stature, appearing in numerous film and TV productions, such as Nip/Tuck, Rush Hour 3 and a recurring hosting gig for the G24/7 Network. She appeared in music videos as a dancer and model in both Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around Comes Around" and Bodog's Battle of the Bands winner, Fall From Grace's "Last Straw." Christie was also featured in the trailer of Justin Timberlake’s video. Christie appeared in videos for Eagles of Death Metal and Maroon 5.

While in Los Angeles, Christie continued to hone her vocal skills and began to write songs for her first country album. After being selected to sing in the world-renowned and internationally televised Crystal Cathedral Choir in Anaheim, CA under the direction of Dr. Donald Neuen, Christie knew that she wanted to pursue singing full time.

A book that has barely got through the second chapter in a story that will be concluded as fairytale envisioned, not dreamt, and fully lived. George can sometimes be seen riding roller coasters while filming for ProFightNetwork as well.
