(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, September 23, 2021 ) LOS ANGELES, CA - Stars and VIP guests got the opportunity to attend a special outdoor screening of the new film, ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ on September 16 in Los Angeles. The film stars Jessica Chastain (The Help, Molly’s Game) and is directed by Michael Showalter (Hello, My Name is Doris).
The film tells the story of Tammy Faye Bakker, who along with her husband John Bakker, built the world’s largest evangelical broadcasting network of the 1970s and 80s…and even had their own theme park! Known for her signature eyelashes and heavy mascara, as well as being a singer and, most importantly, a lover of all people, Tammy Faye Bakker and her husband’s iconic empire eventually came crashing down after John Bakker was indicted, convicted and imprisoned for numerous accounts of fraud and conspiracy.
Tammy Faye eventually divorced and remarried, and in time, redeemed herself and rose to fame once more to become a camp-icon, particularly among the LGBTQIA+ community for her unconditional acceptance and support during the AIDS Epidemic. Faye passed away in 2007 after a long battle with colon cancer.
Jessica Chastain portrays Tammy Faye in the film and is already receiving rave reviews for her performance!

Complete with 3D text that read ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ in a soft pink hue, along with a matching pink carpet, the photo-op presentation looked as glamorous as the legendary televangelist herself!
After posing for photos, VIP guests got to enjoy the film at a special outdoor screening under the Summer night sky.
