(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, September 21, 2012 ) Chicago, IL – The Walt Disney Company has announced that it will have three Spanish language performances in the coming month. The world-famous touring ice show Disney on Ice has been offering families and kids spectacular ice skating performances all over the world, and from time to time, they stage performances in the Spanish language.
This coming October, Disney on Ice will have three Spanish shows. Two of these will feature ‘Dare to Dream’ and will be held at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas. The shows are scheduled for October 4 and October 6, 2012.
The third Spanish performance will be on October 14 and will feature Disney’s popular ‘100 Years of Magic’ show. It will be held at the Valley View Casino Center, formerly San Diego Sports Arena, in San Diego CA.
Disney on Ice has been offering spectacular shows all over the United States this year. This year, they have offered various shows including Treasure Trove, Dare to Dream, Rockin’ Ever After, and Worlds of Fantasy.
Featuring Disney’s world-renowned team of award-winning world-class figure skaters, the show brings to life the world’s favorite Disney characters. Dare to Dream, the show chosen for two of the three Spanish performances, focuses on two of Disney’s relatively new stories, The Princess and the Frog and Tangled, and also brings back one of the most timeless stories, Cinderella.
Tangled lead role Flynn Rider is played by Joe Jacobsen, who teased audiences by saying: “One of the big, favorite moments is Flynn and Rapunzel’s escape from the tower where we descend from her hair.” The two lead roles fly 25 feet in the air, a first for a Disney ice show.
The three stories also come together in an exciting mix of choreography. The Princess and the Frog incorporates some New Orleans jazz, while the Cinderella story retains its classical charm. Tangled is a unique combination of both.
The third Spanish performance will feature Disney’s ‘100 Years of Magic’, one of the classic Disney on Ice shows that the production has been performing onstage since 1999. 100 Years of Magic, also known as All Star Parade, is a special production featuring a total of 65 Disney characters.
Disney, however, reminds its avid audiences that their Spanish language performances are not bilingual and are conducted entirely in Spanish. This means that these are recommended only for patrons who are fluent in Spanish.
