(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, September 20, 2012 ) Chicago, IL - After concluding a series of shows in Washington and California at the start of September, the Dave Matthews Band are now busy promoting their new album, which they recently released last September 11. The new album is their seventh studio album and the band’s many loyal fans from all over the world await it with much anticipation given that the band’s last release had been way back in 2009 entitled ‘Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King’.
Their latest album entitled ‘Away From The World’ was announced earlier this year with the release date set on September 11. They started recording back in June, but went back on the road to conclude its 2012 tour. Their last show was held last September 9, just two days before the release of the album. It was held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA.
During their summer tour series, the band also performed with other musicians including The Head and the Heart, Mariachi El Bronx, Delta Spirit, Brandi Carlie, SOJA, Tower of Power, The Avett Brothers, and Allen Stone.
Now, as the new album is released, no live concert Dave Matthews Band tickets are available, as the band will be busy promoting the new album.
‘Away From The World’ is released by RCA Records and includes a total of 11 tracks. All songs are new, but four of them has already been performed by the band in concert. These previously performed songs include ‘Mercy’, ‘Gaucho’, ‘Sweet’, and ‘If Only’. The songs have been performed by the band on its summer tour.

The album’s cover art was released last July 16, along with the first single ‘Mercy’. Prior to this, ‘Mercy’ was introduced during a guesting on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ back in April. The studio version was released on YouTube last June 28, along with the official announcement of details regarding the new album.
‘Mercy’ was not the original choice for first single. It was supposed to be ‘Belly Belly Nice’, which has been described as ‘the happiest song Dave has ever written’, but the carrier single was changed at the last minute.
Dave Matthews Band also released ‘Gaucho’ as a free download last May 18.
The album will be available in both digital CD and vinyl CD format, and will also come in a super-deluxe edition that includes bonus tracks, a DVD, a photo book chronicling the band’s recently concluded 2012 tour, and several other bonus offers.
