(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, September 19, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- After The Daily Show and walking the red carpet at MOMA, Robert Pattinson continued his night at the Cosmopolis premiere after-party at the The Dream Downtown hotel in NYC. Following dinner at the hotel, the 26-year-old actor made his first public appearance since the news of his girlfriend Kristen Stewart’s racy affair was reported. He seemed to be friendly and spoke with everyone that greeted him. There was no talk of the ex’s affair, which may be why all the smiling and laughing persisted. Once Pattinson arrived at the penthouse at the Dream Downtown around 10:30 p.m., the star and his entourage (including Cosmopolis co-stars Stanley Tucci, Paul Giamatti, Kevin Durand and Sarah Gadon) made themselves comfortable at a banquette near the DJ--six bodyguards surrounded them.
Pattinson enjoyed bottles of Budweiser and chatted up other nearby revelers. With doors opened to the outside terraces, he enjoyed himself as he puffed on an electronic cigarette. He did not leave until well after midnight, where the star and his group moved the party downstairs to the Electric Room. There they enjoyed a few more drinks. Sources say that his fun and relaxed evening was all about “celebrating with his friends and co-stars.” He was said to have treated guests to an open bar of Ciroc vodka.
A source of Pattinson and Stewart’s troubled romance noted that it was too bad there had to be a cloud over his big night, and that he knew that people around him wanted to ask about it and bring it up, but that he is now ready for a life after Twilight, and more than ever.
