(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 30, 2012 ) Quincy, WA -- The Dave Matthews Band is scheduled to perform in Quincy, Washington on August 31 to September 2 and in four venues in California from September 7 to September 12.
The well-loved pop alternative group will perform thrice in three consecutive days at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Washington. After Quincy, the band will head to California, where they will perform on September 7 at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre, formerly Coors Amphitheatre, in Chula Vista, CA. This will be followed by a September 8 concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine and a September 8 concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. After a couple of days rest, the band will perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on September 12. These concerts are part of Dave Matthews Band’s latest tour.
The Dave Matthews Band was formed and fronted by singer and guitarist Dave Matthews.The band has had a long history behind them, and has played countless concerts in various events all over the country and abroad. The Dave Matthews Band began their rise to fame by playing at the 1991 Earth Day Festival in Charlottesville.
By January 1992, they were playing regular Tuesday night shows at the popular club Trax in the same city. The Virginia-bred band found success thanks to the support of their loyal fans.
By 1993, they had released their first album entitled Remember Two Things under its Bama Rags label.

Eventually, in 2000, they set up their own recording studio at a large home just outside of Charlottesville.
