(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 28, 2012 ) Anaheim, CA -- Batman Live, the live theatrical, circus, and stage magic touring show that tells the story of the Caped Crusader and his loyal sidekick Robin, will be at the Honda Center, formerly Arrowhead Pond, this coming September. The shows will begin on the 5th of September and will give audiences in Anaheim five days to enjoy Batman’s story onstage.
Batman Live is scheduled for 7:30 PM on the first three nights until the 7th of September, but will be moved to 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 8:00 PM on the 8th and 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM on the 9th.
The production is expected to fill up Anaheim’s Honda Center with its visually stunning state-of-the-art effects. Audiences will be treated to jaw-dropping stunts, illusions, and pyrotechnics combined with video sequences. The entire show has a total of 42 members in its cast and features a new storyline. The story will include Batman, Robin, Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler Alfred, The Joker, Catwoman, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and The Penguin, and will mostly focus on the formation of the Batman and Robin two-man team. The story will not only be about Bruce Wayne, but will also largely feature Dick Grayson’s history.
The Honda Center shows will premiere Batman Live’s North American leg, which comes after its bestselling tour across the United Kingdom, Europe, and South America. The UK tour debuted in Manchester in the summer of 2011 and included venues in England, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. The show has garnered quite a review so far and is said to be reminiscent of Joel Schumacher’s version of the Caped Crusader. This means the shows are family-friendly and can be enjoyed by both kids and adults.
