(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 23, 2012 ) La Crosse, WI -- The Sesame Street gang is all geared up for the 2012 run of their Sesame Street Live shows entitled ‘Can’t Stop Singing’. The upcoming show is an extended version of an episode on the famous show’s 41st season.
Sesame Street Live is the live touring show derived from the famous children’s television show Sesame Street. It has garnered heavy popularity and always manages to pull sold out audiences in their yearly shows. In order to maintain the show’s popularity, new plotlines are created and rotated.
This year, their show is entitled ‘Can’t Stop Singing’ and will see the show’s lead character Elmo get his hands on Abby Cadabby’s magic wand. The whole street is then transformed into a musical montage with everyone singing and dancing non-stop.
The first ever show from Sesame Street Live was called Missing Bird Mystery, which was performed in 1980.
‘Can’t Stop Singing’ will be performed at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin from August 23 to August 26. Show times vary, though, so those who are planning to watch are advised to check the complete schedule on ACheapSeat.com.
On August 31, the show will be moved to the Heritage Theatre at Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan. The beloved Sesame Street characters will be there until the first week of September before they move to Baltimore, Maryland. The Maryland shows will be held at the Lyric Opera House on the 7th and 8th of September. On the 8th, however, back-to-back shows will be staged in Baltimore and in Rockford, Illinois.
Come September 13, the live touring show will move to New Jersey with a show at the Izod Center, formerly Continental Airlines Arena. The other part of the tour will perform at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on the same day. The East Rutherford and Atlanta shows will run back-to-back until September 15.
The Sesame Street Live will also bring ‘Can’t Stop Singing’ to several other states including Alabama, Philadelphia, Florida, New York, South Carolina, Mississippi, Minnesota, Virginia, North Dakota, Kentucky, Wyoming, Utah, Maine, Louisiana, Texas, Nevada, and Colorado, among others. The shows will run regularly throughout the entire tour. Dates and venues for the shows until April 14, 2013 have been announced.
