GOXBEE Launches Groundbreaking Emergency Alerts Systems for Schools

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, June 12, 2012 ) Berlin, NJ -- GOXBEE is well known as a provider for text-message based alerts, enabling small businesses to enhance their exposure to the local community. The company has now launched an innovative new service that grants schools and organizations access to their text-based communication network for broadcasting emergency notifications.

In what is an industry first, the new service will enable schools a much more efficient and effective mechanism of communicating with their students, according to GOXBEE.

“Currently, schools do not have a reliable method of alerting students and parents of critical, time-sensitive information. In the event of a school closure, parents often do not realize what has happened until they arrive at the school gates. This is a wasted journey that could easily have been prevented,” said a GOXBEE spokesperson. “But with our text-message based system, schools can now broadcast their message directly to the cell phones of all students and parents within seconds.”

Schools and organizations are able to setup the emergency alerts system in two simple steps:

#1: Sign-Up – The organization simply enters in their information and access credentials, as well as defining how they would like to section-off their user base. This can include separating subscribers into categories of ‘students’, ‘parents’ and ‘faculty’. Access to a dedicated administrative control panel is then provided upon initial registration.

#2: Add Subscribers – Organizations can easily add subscribers by providing their students with a sign-up link, where they then enter in their details. Organizations also have the ability to manually enter all subscriber information themselves. Users are then provided an access key, which they use to log-in and maintain their contact data over time.

In addition to providing a quick and easy emergency notifications system, GOXBEE are also keen to highlight the affordability of their approach.

“With other services you would be expected to pay a monthly fee of approximately $1.75 per student. But with the GOXBEE service there are no maintenance fees for public schools.”
