This new Around The Rogue In 8 Days tour gives travelers the chance to go hiking along the Wild & Scenic Rogue River, along with explorations of Crater Lake National Park, Redwoods National Park, and other local highlights.
The trip begins with a visit to the charming town of Ashland, Oregon with quaint accommodations and a chance to experience the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The tour continues with a visit to stunning Crater Lake National Park, one of the Pacific NorthwestÂ’s most scenic spots. Guests then spend 4 days hiking the historic Rogue River Trail, a spectacularly scenic hiking trail that was originally built by miners more than 100 years ago.
Hikers are treated to stunning views of the Rogue River by day as they wind their way along the trail. Nights are spent making friends, dining on hearty homemade fare, and relaxing in the historic and remote wilderness lodges that are located along the trail. Hiking gear and luggage are carried down river by the support of rafts, which are also there in case weary hikers want to take a break from the walk and hop on the raft to float down the river.
The trip continues with a drive down famous Highway 101 and a hiking excursion through the awe-inspiring Redwoods National Park.
