(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 14, 2012 ) New York, NY -- Ghost Recon Future Soldier is the fourth installment of the Ghost Recon series for the PC, XBox 360 and PS3. The game is developed by Ubisoft, and takes place some place in the near future. A highly trained special-ops Ghost team is sent on a mission to track down the source of a dirty bomb that killed another Ghost team, taking them to faraway places such as Pakistan, Norway, Russia and Nigeria. Players are armed to the teeth with cutting-edge military equipment and technology to take out their target.
The Ghost Recon Future Soldier game is a third-person cover-based shooter game, except when aiming using sights at which point the game switches to a first-person camera in order to facilitate more precise aiming. Unlike previous Ghost Recon games, the player will not be micro managing the squad. New features include “optical camouflage” which allow Ghosts to be harder to see and “Gunsmith” which allows them to customize and try out their weapons.
Tom ClancyÂ’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier was originally slated to be released at around 2009 or 2010, but was pushed back. In addition to single-player modes, players can play with up to sixteen people in multi-player mode, team up with friends in co-op mode, and choose from over 20 million weapons in gunsmith mode. The official Ghost Recon Future Soldier release date is set for May 22, 2012.
