It is the third game of the Kid Icarus series which has been in the works for what seems like ages. The first game of the series debuted in 1991 and now fans will finally get a chance to see how the game is played on a three dimensional platform.
Our protagonist Pit is out to save the world, fighting the evil Medusa who is out to destroy mankind. As Pit, players get to battle Medusa, other massive monsters and a doppelganger of Pit himself known as Dark Pit. There are battle sequences both in the air as well as on the ground. There are also plenty of opportunities for players to collect different types of weapons as well as hearts that will increase the intensity of each chapter.
The Kid Icarus Uprising game can be played with either the default controller and stylus or the Circle Pad Pro peripheral. There is also the option of playing in single player story mode or with up to six people in the multiplayer mode via wi-fi. The official Kid Icarus Uprising release date is set for March 23, 2012.
