While water sports on Lake Cascade may be the main attractions here, mountain biking, bird watching, and hiking are other daytime options. Further south, Bruneau Dunes State Park and Observatory offers an alternative landscape. The sand dunes at Bruneau can reach 470 ft, and hidden lakes in this high desert area make the perfect target for future explorers. From mid-March to October the Observatory is open and has various telescopes and evening astronomy programs.
