The game uses elements of Asian mythology and science fiction to tell a story of Asura, a revered general who comes home from fighting a war to find his wife murdered, child kidnapped and himself being accused of killing the emperor.He finds out that the god Deus is behind all this, but as Asura tries to save his child, he is dropped over the edge and falls to Earth.
The Asuras Wrath game itself takes place 12,000 years after Asura lands on Earth, he finally awakes by the prayers of a young girl in the mountains which he saves from a pack of creatures. The player goes on this journey as Asura, fighting to save his daughter Mithra from the Seven Deities and battling his former allies who now rule Heaven, HeavenÂ’s soldiers, ferocious wild life, and giant battleships among other enemies.
The developers first announced the creation of Asuras Wrath at the Tokyo Game Show in 2010, and it is finally about to be released as one of the much anticipated games for 2012. Capcom even unveiled special bonuses recently for each of the major retailers selling pre-orders of the game. For gamers who do not want to miss out on these bonuses, they should get it before the Asuras Wrath release date which is on February 21, 2012 in North America.
