(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 16, 2011 ) Toronto - Afiwi International, TorontoÂ’s hottest emerging cultural-arts agency, will be celebrating its new artist development program by hosting the Artistic Me photo shoot.
Taking place on November 19th at the Creative Image Studios in downtown Toronto, the shoot will help artists improve their image and create opportunities for themselves with guidance from brand building and image experts. “This is more than just a photo shoot,” says Sanaaj Mirrie, artistic director and founder of Afiwi International. “We have invited a seasoned group of industry professionals to assist the artists with building their overall brand . There will be a make-up artist from Faces by Pureness, stylist Brenda Foreman, brand consultant, Shereen Ashman and of course Belinda Barrocks and her team from Kamshuka Photography ”
In addition to the photo shoot, participating artists will receive one month of free marketing courtesy of Woah! Media (www.woahmedia.com).
The Artistic Me development program is set to host workshops in 2012 and will help artist harness the skills needed to leverage themselves in the challenging arts and entertainment industry. “As an artist myself, I understand first-hand that artists invest a great deal of energy into their craft and often do not have the resources nor time to market themselves appropriately,” says Mirrie. ‘’My goal is that each client will walk away with an attractive set of tools and the confidence needed to succeed in this business.”
