Sarah, together with over 13, 000 other non-French Jewish families were shipped to Auschwitz and murdered there. But not before she sends her younger brother into hiding on the day of the notorious raid. The present-day journalist, Julia Jarmond, begins a research about the VelÂ’ dÂ’Hiv Roundup. The movie is thrown off balance when JarmondÂ’s life starts to connect with this particular time in the history.
