MMA Icon's Aaron Tru and Lee Honish to fight in Main event at TuffNuff

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 05, 2011 ) Las Vegas, NV - Aaron Tru and Lee Honish don't need much of an introduction, both are media celebrities in the sport of mixed martial arts. However, on March 12. 2010, one will walk away with true bragging rights as the two have an obvious distaste for the other.

MMABAY Radio had their highest rated show to date when download numbers started to roll in by the thousands once people caught wind of the significance of this bout. Lee Honish who is best known for his fight against Danny Bonaduce was quick to take stabs at his signed opponent, Aaron Tru. However, when when Chris Greenman, MMABAY Radio's co-host, was able to text Aaron and get him to call in; the tides began to change.

Aaron Tru came on about three quarters of the way through the recorded broadcast and clearly had no respect for Lee Honish, referring to him as "An overweight, old, and out-of-shape man who was going to get destroyed." Aaron went on to say numerous things that we cannot print, however, if you go to the MMABAY Radio podcast you won't miss a beat.

International Journalism Review (IJR) spoke to Chris Greenman who has a decorative resume in terms of MMA experience and has trained and worked tightly with names like Chuck Liddell, Brett Rogers, Jake Shields, and Randy Couture and a who's who list of other MMA icons. Via telephone conference call, Greenman told us this, "Aaron Tru came on the show with no preparation and delivered a knockout in terms of doo doo talking, however, this doesn't necessarily mean he can back it up."

"Aaron is known for basically being the other name for a donkey in the MMA world and Lee is kind of the Howard Stern in MMA, this should make for a great MMA main event, I just don't know who is disliked more? At the end of the show I had much respect for Aaron as he came across professional and seemed to be a guy who shares the same visions as myself and my crew on MMABAY Radio, including Lee Honish. Aaron is about the integrity of the sport of MMA and being a straight shooter, you got to love that!"
IJR then spoke to MMABAY Co-host Michael Pepper who told us, "Aaron recently received a reward, as he was nominated for Journalist of the Year by Fighter's Only magazine, Aaron was quick to discredit not only the award but the organization who nominated him. He won my vote by agreeing how biased Fighters Only Magazine was, I will be siding with him when he fights Lee Honish in 66 days. Yeah, Lee is my friend but I would love to see him get his butt kicked."

IJR learned that Lee Honish will quit MMA all together if he loses to Aaron Tru, and Aaron seems anxious to make it happen. In addition, Honish offered Tru his job as radio host of MMABAY Radio if he loses and even letting him practice by signing off their latest MMA podcast. The MMA community is ecstatic to see this fight happen and on March 12, 2010 we will witness a first in MMA when two of the most controversial MMA journalists square off in the center of the ring and let their fists, elbows, knees, and feet do the talking rather than their mouths.

It should be noted that both fighters have pledged sponsorship money to charities, Tru was diagnosed Crones disease and will dedicate a set amount of proceeds to organizations that fight that and other diseases such as cancer and a list of others. Honish will do the same. Interested sponsors can contact Aaron Tru or Lee Honish through the e mail of this author.
