As taser use becomes more accepted in society, the case will be made that guns will no longer be necessary, weakening the Second Amendment until it's irrelevant, Amendment until it's irrelevant, states the book. On top of that, non-lethal force leads to the overuse of force, especially in cases where a simple disagreement is developing, and this quick-on-the-trigger reaction leads to the stifling of free speech.

"When your peacemaker is a gun, you have to respect the situation and respect force because the consequences are long-lasting. When you use a taser, you know that you'll be able to shut someone up or make them obey you at no life cost. But at what cost liberty?"
