STROUDSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA – –Quilting and embroidery are finding new fans and spurring a growth in needlework, according to Paul Bombicca, manager of a popular Pocono Mountains retail store. The trend is toward buying ready-to-wear jackets or shirts that are then embroidered with personal designs, with results that are “always special and often spectacular.”
The growing interest in classic hobbies, Bombicca says, is fueling an increase in sales at his store, Pocono Sew & Vac, of everything from sewing supplies to The Daylight™ Company’s line of specialty lamps designed designed to meet the needs of needlecraft hobbyists.
