Flash Mob performances have become popular around the world, a musical Flash Mob attract large crowds.
Upado Unlimited recently posted on their Facebook page a video of a Flash Mob orchestra and choir performing Ludwig Van Beethoven's masterpiece Ode to Joy. The performance was organized by Banco Sabadell in Spain who was celebrating the 130th anniversary of their organization. They gathered one hundred musicians from the the Vallčs Symphony Orchestra, the Coral Belles Arts choirs, the Lieder, and the Amics de l'Ňpera and to play and sing Ode to Joy. The performance begins with a lone base player who is joined by a cellist and then slowly, the rest of the group. The video features not only the music, but also the reaction and faces of the audience.
Upado Unlimited has created a Music Pattern Song Sheet of Ode to Joy so that their customers can play the piece on their 8 note precision tuned Glockenspiel Xylophone. Ode to Joy was the featured song in March, and it will be available again later this year. Upado Unlimited also created a song pattern for the harmony of Ode to Joy. Two musicians recorded the song and the audio is available on the company's website.
Ode to Joy is not the only classical song that Upado Unlimited has available as a song pattern. The 12 page song book that comes with each Glockenspiel Xylophone includes a minuet by Johannes Sebastian Bach. The audio of this song is on the website and includes an accompaniment by two violins.
Beethoven's Ode to Joy still touches people today whether they hear it in a Flash Mob performance, in a concert hall, or even play a simple version of the song on an Upado Unlimited Glockenspiel Xylophone in the comfort of their own home.
