(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, March 11, 2016 ) Hollywood, CA -- Tina Gower won the L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future writing contest for her short story Twelve Seconds in 2013. In this haunting police thriller, homicide detectives can pick up the last 12 seconds of life, in the memory of the recently deceased. Tina's short story opens many possibilities in the dark reaches of murder and the weakness of those discovering the cause of death. This short story anthology garnered a starred review from Publisher Weekly, who stated: "Adventurous, lighthearted, thought-provoking and grim, these stories cover a wide range of science and magic, each unique, refreshing, and innovative in a variety of different ways. The anthology is fleshed out by essays from the late Hubbard, Nnedi Okorafor and artist Larry Elmore. This book is not to be missed, full of exciting new writers to watch."

With her newly released Outlier Prophecies series, Tina starts off strong with Romancing the Null. The "just human" Kate Hale has just been promoted to Accidental Death Predictions, and is handed an impossible death prediction, which is not "just a statistical analysis", but must be prevented...and fast. In a world where fae, werewolves, vampires and many other supernatural creatures coexist and intermarry with humans and as the supernatural have lived with humans for so long, it's odd to find a human who is "just human", without a little extra something.

Tina takes the "Minority Report" predicting future death and turns out a highly unique urban fantasy that already has fans asking for the next book.

The President Galaxy Press, John Goodwin was quoted "my heartfelt congratulations to Tina on her new novel and my best wishes for her continued success. We have always taken a stand on the importance of nurturing new talent in the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres. Tina's success is an example of why I continue to make the success of this short story writing contest one of my top priorities."

Just like Lil Mama helped discover new dancers as a talent show judge for America's Best Dance Crew, the Writers of the Future has helped to launch hundreds of professional science fiction & fantasy authors like Tina Gower.

Author Bio: Tina Gower grew up in a small community in Northern California known for having more cows than people. She raised guide dogs for the blind. She can shoot a gun or bow and miraculously never hit the target. Tina also won the Writers of the Future, the Daphne du Maurier Award for Mystery and Suspense (paranormal category), and was nominated for the Romance Writers of America Golden Heart (writing as Alice Faris). She has professionally published several short stories in a variety of magazines, including Unidentified Funny Objects 4 which release in October. Tina Gower's literacy agent is Rebecca Strauss at DeFiore and Company.
