"Honestly, I thought this Silk Warm towel was going to be gimmicky, but wanted to try-out just the same. I was wrong! This towel by G&H Global, is not a gimmick, it's a yogi's dream! I own probably 4 yoga mats, and they're all made for different places/styles. I didn't really see the need for a sports towel, because I thought this would get in the way, and I'd lose my footing/balance. I also thought it would slip, and move as I change poses. Nope, I was wrong on all accounts.
First, it's not so big, it takes up the whole mat, and hangs-over (I got the smaller size), and touches the dirty floor at class. Plus, because of the material/microfiber, it doesn't require straps/Velcro to hold it in place. It adheres to my mat without any mechanism, that would otherwise get in my way/stance.
Second, my initial stepping on to it, I was expecting it would slide, or move about, it doesn't. I did put my Yoga socks on this morning to be able to test this out properly. Surprisingly, the towel didn't move, nor hinder my routine.
Third, I sweat a lot during hot yoga, and my sweat typically falls onto the mat, making the mat pretty uncomfortable to practice on. This towel caught my sweat, and absorbed it quickly. Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about sweat making my mat slippery, and losing my footing.
Fourth, I ran my first 5K this weekend, and attached this towel to my running belt (there's a snap at the top corner, that easily opens, and closes), and carried the bulk in my hand to dab my sweat (plus, I like to hold items when I run), and it was the perfect pairing for my run. Quickly, it drank-up my sweat, and kept my focus on the pack, and not my dripping body! Ew...
Lastly, I've had this towel now for over a week, and washed it probably 6 times, or so, and it's come out like new, after each wash! This would make a fabulous gift for novice to expert yogi's alike, or anyone that likes to break a sweat, like me!"
