(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, February 03, 2016 ) Pebble Beach, CA -- Just one month after receiving a prestigious award by the Black & White Spider Awards at a live online gala event attended by over 10,000 photography fans around the globe, KnockFlux founder Eduardo Fujii has another reason to celebrate in 2016. The Monochrome Awards, honoring Black & White Photography, presents Eduardo with two Honorable Mention awards, one in the Fine Art category for the winning entry "La Ballerina" and another one in the Landscapes category for the winning entry "Lightscape."
The 2015 Monochrome Awards received nearly 7000 submissions from 86 countries around the world. Winning images were selected by a panel of international judges, including Ted Preuss, David Fokos, Roman Loranc, David Johndrow, Stefano Brunesci, Tomasz Lazar, Dominique Bollinger, Andre Brito, Giacomo Brunelli and Martin Stavars.
To celebrate the awards, KnockFlux is making available free wallpapers for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s featuring two of Eduardo Fujii's award winning images. The wallpapers can be downloaded directly from KnockFlux’s Facebook page. "We plan to continue offering free wallpapers and expand the selection of images throughout the year," says Fujii.
Eduardo Fujii is a self-taught fine art photographer living in Pebble Beach, California. He started music lessons at the age of five and painting a few years later. It wasn't until late 2006, however, that he turned to photography as a form of artistic expression. Classical music and painting have been part of most of his life and have certainly helped shape his photographic style today. Eduardo is very committed to photography as art and always leaves part of himself in every image he makes. He truly believes that every photograph is a self-portrait.
Eduardo has participated in gallery exhibitions at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado and the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, California and has received various awards including Spotlight awards from B&W and Color Magazine, PX3 Prix de la Photographie, Black and White Spider Awards, and the International Color Awards.
In addition to achieving a successful career in fine art photography, Eduardo is also pursuing new challenges in business and entrepreneurship. In 2014, he launched KnockFlux, a Pebble Beach-based company dedicated to designing luxury leather cases for the iPhone 6/6s. After a delayed period finding a suitable supplier, KnockFlux started selling its flagship cases in March 2015 exclusively at its online store on Amazon.com. KnockFlux celebrated its first major milestone in September 2015 when it posted a Google map to its Facebook page highlighting 100 cities across the United States to where it had shipped its iPhone 6 case. The map today has close to 400 pins.
The Monochrome Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for Professional and Amateur photographers. Its mission is to "celebrate monochrome visions and discover most amazing photographers from around the world."
