West coast cuisine has long been popular in Delta, but in recent years, customers have become more sophisticated with their choices. Great food is still the primary criterion of course, but now the atmosphere has become just as important, something that Greene agrees with.
"Dining in a seafood restaurant is not what it used to be. Before you could get away with just the food, but now you have to provide the complete dining experience. Our specials during the weekdays in Delta provide our customers with the best seafood cuisine available here, and since we're also a marina, the views from here are fantastic."
One of the more pressing concerns of customers has been the quality of the seafood, because while the numbers of seafood restaurants have grown, food quality varies. According to Greene, customers can expect only the best in the Riverside Restaurant.
"Our ingredients have been specially chosen and sourced, and we don't use any unless they are absolutely fresh. A lot of customers have pointed out that our dishes are original, and that's true because part of our daily specials in Delta means coming up with new treats for our customers."
Since the restaurant was founded in 1997, their Delta weekday specials have become very popular, with the 3 course meal on Mondays with half rack Jamaican rum ribs, citrus dressing and garden greens always in demand. However, Greene says they are always working on adding more to the menu. While it is primarily known as the place for fine seafood, it is also a place to relax and have fun with family and friends.
