Different actors, different locations, but definitely a repeat of negative events happening around our world. It's undoubtedly a huge influence, pushing multitudes towards greater depression, stress, and discouragement, day after day. It's no surprise that the number of crimes and suicides are constantly on the increase in most countries around the world. Look at the statistics, and you will see that increasing crime and depressing situations, just lead to a greater increase of the same! Negatives always produce more negatives!
It seems that most people have a tendency to want to know what is going on around them, and that is understandable. It's natural human curiosity. Yet, once they learn of the latest negative events in our world, they are very prone towards the influences and affects of such information, to the extent that fears and worries begin to increase more and more as time passes.
A few years ago Anne Murray, a famous Canadian singer, sang a major hit song entitled, "I Sure Could Use A Little Good News Today". It's interesting to note how many people who hear that song performed, speak up and agree wholeheartedly with the lyrics, and express how they too wish more good news would come their way. Certainly there are sources of good news and encouragement 'out there', and the word should be spread about every source! One reason that often does not happen is that many sources of 'good news' are financial endeavors, and therefore have a lot of advertising posted on those sites or publications. Sometimes, people tend to feel it would be nice to get away from all commercialization, and just allow their minds to rest a bit by focusing upon that which is positive, with no other distractions. There is a new web site recently built on the internet (www.Inspire4.com), that is devoted to trying to give people some encouraging thoughts to focus their minds upon for a few moments, to get a break and occasional relief. It doesn't cover the news, but instead uses unique videos, photos, articles, and poems, that attempt to look upon the positive side of life. All materials posted on the web site are made exclusively for that site. A team of people, all volunteers, work together to produce the totally original materials.
Some media on www.Inspire4.com does have a slightly religious slant, but it is more generalized, and does not promote any denomination. Some material is purely secular in content, but with words authored to produce positive encouragement, intended to inspire and reduce the stress so common in our world today.
The web site also features professionally performed music, both inspirational and secular, which should provide some entertainment, and positives without offense for most everyone! There are no advertisements, and nothing is offered for sale! It's a non-profit organization supported by it's own members. The work is accomplished mostly by people from the United States, but also by various people helping out in other countries as well. There are no political views covered on the site. It is truly a site devoted to extending a handful of positives toward all peoples, and with no strings attached! Current plans are to continue posting new material as fast as the team of people can make it happen.
