With a precision-tuned Up-a-do Unlimited Glockenspiel Xylophones, even Classical Beethoven is within reach!
(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, January 25, 2016 ) Atascadero, CA -- Ludwig Van Beethoven used the poem "Ode to Joy" in the final movement of his Ninth Symphony, a choral symphony for orchestra, a choir and four solo voices. The poem itself was written in 1785 by German Poet Friedrich Schiller and the words emphases the importance of brotherhood.
In 1972, "Ode to Joy was chosen as the Anthem of Europe, and in 1985, it became the national anthem of Rhodesia. The song has been used as a protest song and a as a song of celebration. Chinese students broadcast the piece at Tiananmen Square during their demonstration. The Beetles used the song in their film "Help," and "Ode to Joy" has inspired flashmob performances in public spaces in many countries. Choir Without Borders's performed Beethoven's classical piece at a train station in Leipzig in 2009 to mark the anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall.
