The cable is offering state of the art technology. Due to its low capacitance the cable enforces high frequency clarity and allows natural brightness. Oxygen-free copper (OFC) is used as conductor material. The elimination of oxygen in the copper conductor increases its conductivity and improves the resistance to corrosion. Therefore, cables using OFC provide more power to the amp and improve efficiency of power transmission. The result is, that the equipment lasts longer. The combination of high performance metal jacks, a strong metal clamping system and an internal PVC jacket, providing secure strain relief and additional tensile strength, are responsible for an extended life span. Handling noise, known as obnoxious „crackling" noise is avoided by the use of conductive PVC layers, which function as electrostatic shields. Finally, PE insulation provides high flexibility when using the cable in motion on stage.

For the Red Dragon Cable, a specially developed high-density stranded copper shield was used to take care of the effect of radiation and interference.
