For the launch party of Niall Furguson's "Kissinger: The Idealist," Step and Repeat LA will be producing not one, but four different types of products to help bring some high-end appeal.
The first product is that of a double-sided retractable display. Much like a projector screen, the banner is kept snug, rolled up neatly inside a small, metallic box that sits on the ground. When ready, the banner is then retracted upward manually, and locked into place with a long stand, which also collapses into the case for easy traveling. The banner within is made of vinyl, and features printed logos on both sides of the display. The dimensions are 33.5" x 78" and they are easily transported to events.
For the red carpet, Step and Repeat LA will also be producing two different kinds of banners - one is a traditional 8' x 10' fabric banner, held up with an easy-to-assemble telescoping banner system.
The other step and repeat is a fabric stretch display - this system features a "snap-lock" aluminum stand, which is then covered with a fabric banner that literally stretches over the frame like a giant sock. When finished, no poles are visible.
And lastly, an enormous 10' x 20' fabric banner, featuring logos for The Berggruen Institute and The World Post, will serve as the main stage backdrop.
This is the second event that has called for the creative collaboration of Step and Repeat LA and The World Post. The Idealist is the story of one of the most important strategic thinkers America has ever produced. It also explains how "Dr. Strangelove" ended up as consigliore to a politician he had always abhorred. Like Ferguson's classic two-volume history of the House of Rothschild, Kissinger sheds dazzling new light on an entire era.
