Bluetooth establishes a wireless connection between the phone and the selfie stick, which is subject to connection interruptions and/or delays. The Selfie Snap Plus solves these issues with a fully wired connection.
"Rather then look for solutions to every potential wireless problem that can come up, we went for simplicity and reliability," says Ms. Jones. "The phone is connected to the stick, and the user is holding the stick, so we realized there was no good reason to establish and maintain a wireless connection over three feet. A wire directly within the stick and connecting to the phone at the end was the solution."
Signal delays in earlier, wireless models caused missed photo opportunities, when the button to take the photo was pressed and the signal to snap was not processed in the same instant. With a wired connection directly to the phone in this new selfie stick by Adventure Imaging Gear, this delay is eliminated. Batteries are no longer needed, removing that potential delay as well. There is no need to make sure the Selfie Snap Plus has batteries.
