(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 31, 2015 ) Clearwater, Florida -- Black Helm Entertainment CEO, Philip Jepsen, announced today that author David G McDaniel has joined the Black Helm group. Mr. McDaniel has authored several novels in the sci-fi genre, most recently the five-book Star Angel Pentalogy. Black Helm became interested in the completed series, and after some discussions structured a relationship with Mr. McDaniel to release the series through their Amazon channels.
"We've been selling on Amazon quite successfully for some time," says Mr. Jepsen. "Amazon distribution is a non-traditional model that is, slowly, becoming the norm. Many companies are finding success through the global giant, and we have a working system in place that's built to take advantage of all they have to offer. Placing the Star Angel series on these channels made perfect sense. Happily for us, David agreed."
David G McDaniel is a sci-fi author from Florida who has been writing for about ten years. His other works have previously been published through various channels. Star Angel is a five-book series that as yet had no publishing home, and during Mr. McDaniel's search for publishing options he developed a relationship with Black Helm Entertainment.
"It's an exciting series," says Mr. Jepsen. "When we first read it we loved it. You really become invested in the characters and the challenges they face. The sci-fi action is intense. Some of the best I've read, quite frankly, and I'm saying that objectively as a reader and a sci-fi fan. The best way to describe David's writing is visceral. It really grabs you and doesn't let go."
Black Helm plans to release the first book in the "Star Angel" series, "Awakening", in both Kindle and Paperback form. David G McDaniel has agreed to release the Kindle version for free for a limited time.
