(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, August 13, 2015 ) St. Joseph, MI – Michael Carluccio didn’t mind his marathon performance last month at the Sandbar & Grille since the proceeds went to the Ray Carlson Memorial Fund, which helps the physically and mentally challenged children in Berrien County, Michigan.
Over the past 23 years, the Memorial Fund has become the single largest fundraiser at the Saint Joseph Elks Lodge 541. “Thanks to the tremendous support from the Elks and the community,” explained Craig Carlson, Founder and Chairman of the Ray Carlson Memorial Fund, “thousands of dollars are raised each year, with every penny going directly to the special-needs children of Berrien County.”
Carluccio’s job was to keep the overflow crowd from going home. Tracey Ostrowski, owner of the Sandbar & Grille appeared pleased with the near capacity audience, as the Las Vegas Legends came to life with Carluccio’s renditions of the Top 40’s from the 1960s and 1970s.
The crowd’s favorites seemed to center around Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Tom Jones and George Strait. After the second hour, everyone was ready for some audience participation. The chorus line appeared as soon as the introduction music hit the speakers with New York, New York.
The audience was just warming up when Carluccio ordered "Friends in Low Places." Then the line dancing commenced to everyone’s delight.
For 2015, Carluccio has taken his Heartland Tour from Kansas to St. Joseph, Lake City to Tawas, Michigan, with future stops in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin; and a finale in Sault St. Marie in Michigan’s upper peninsula at the Kewadin Casino and Resort.
Carluccio has appeared in front of Hollywood’s elite at the Golden Apple Awards, the Las Vegas MGM Grand, the Skyview Terrace and Tropicana stages, the St. Louis Fox Theater, New York’s Central Park Amphitheater and the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and the Andiamo’s Night Club in Michigan.”
