When this happens the signal to take a picture may not reach the phone, or may be delayed, causing loss of photo opportunities.
The solution is a wire. The wire on the Selfie Snap Plus is at the clamp where the phone is attached. "It takes less time to plug the wire into the jack than it does to establish a Bluetooth connection," says Ms. Jones. The wired connection has been demonstrated to be more reliable than a wireless connection and works every time a click is made. There are no delays and no loss of signal.

The Selfie Snap Plus is self-contained and does not require batteries. It is a wired unit and plugs into the phone's headphone jack. The Selfie Snap Plus is constructed of steel tubing with a rubberized handle, and telescopes to a fully-extended length of a little over three feet. The phone mount will accommodate most model phones.
