In September 2014, a group of young aspiring filmmakers at Columbia College Hollywood came together to establish "The Modeling Club," a non-profit organization that promotes creativity and a chance for every student to explore new ways of self-expression without being limited by his or her height, size or gender. But what makes this fashion organization different is that it does not promote fashion as their main focus. In fact, it emphasizes building confidence and self-expression.
The club members include males and females of all sizes and backgrounds. They also encourage their members to make decisions that will help them become more diverse in the arts. The Modeling Club provides free training programs for modeling, dance, and sports, as well as promoting an overall healthier lifestyle.
Supported by a crew of filmmakers and photographers, who at the same time are pursuing advanced degrees in filmmaking, the club decided to showcase a reality show for the web. Each episode illustrates the progress of their members as they prepare for the final event.
