(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, November 25, 2014 ) Portland, Maine -- In a statement released by Do-Be Products, the internet company which sells barbecue-related items on Amazon.com, it was announced that the first 200 people who buy their latest product, a Grill Mat, will find that included in the box in which the mat is packaged a Claim Code which will allow purchase of a second mat for only 50% of the listed price on Amazon.
Don Lowry, president of Do-Be, said that although several competitors offer a similar mat only in packages of two, Do-Be has decided to sell the mat in a box containing only one mat on the theory that this is a fairly new product and that for that reason people would probably like to try one out before ordering a second mat. "As a matter of fact," said Lowry, "a single mat, at 15.75 inches by 13 inches, is big enough to cover most of the area of a small grill and is plenty large enough to cook half a dozen hamburgers or a couple of good-sized steaks." Because of the size, it would require a fairly large grill to accommodate two mats at the same time.
Another reason that having only one grill mat makes sense, as Lowry pointed out, is that the mat can be used over and over many times, and is unlikely to need replacement for quite a long time. "The only use that many people would have for getting two mats," Lowry said, "is to give away as a gift—which is actually not a bad idea at all. The more that people get a chance to try this innovative mat, more and more people are going to want one."
For any customer who would like to have a second mat for their own use, or to give to a friend, Do-Be has provided an opportunity to get one for half price for anyone who is among the first 200 customers.
