Step and Repeat LA's parent company is Collins Visual Media which was created by George Collins. It is a full-service sign company that has been around for 30 years. It specializes in the design and fabrication of signage and props for the film industry.
In 2009, red carpet events with step and repeat backdrops started becoming more popular and step and repeat backdrops were growing in demand at Collins Visual Media. Step and repeats create a backdrop for celebrity photos as well as showcase the logos of sponsors who support an event. George's daughter, Codi-Rose, who started working for him, saw the huge demand for step and repeats and she created a website specifically selling these products. More and more clients were ordering step and repeats so Codi-Rose decided to create a spin-off company, Step and Repeat LA, in order to fully embrace this niche and deliver anything and everything having to do with red carpet events.
While George still handles the production side of things, Codi-Rose continually works the administrative side to expand the business and further the excellence of the products and services. George keeps on top of the ever-changing technology, recently having purchased a 16' printer, in order to create seamless, large, step and repeats.
