Casper isn't sure what to do after leaving but, finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Modern Family's Sofia Vergara), his pal (John Leguizamo) and his son to take to the road with a food truck. Chef is a hearty comedy featuring a cast that includes Oscar-winner Dustin Hoffman, famous for classic films such as The Graduate, Kramer vs Kramer and Marathon Man. Hoffman takes the role of the condescending restaurant owner, Riva, who has a bust-up with chef Casper after the restaurant menu is criticised by food blogger Ramsey Michel, played by Oliver Platt. Scarlett Johansson, as a sassy restaurant waitress, and Robert Downey Jr as the former lover of Casper's ex-wife, are among the other star names in the movie.
Chef is not just a film about food, however amazing that may look. It is also a human drama as Casper tries to mend his difficult relationship with his son at the urging of his ex-wife Inez.
