Acoustic Guitar Tuner Still On Demand

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, June 03, 2014 ) Fort Myers, Florida -- Although more and more guitar students and professional players are downloading guitar tuning apps, or tuning their guitars with online tuners, a steady demand for digital acoustic guitar tuners still exists. Many musicians prefer the stability of a physical device.

There are many guitar tuners online, but many of these services are just tone generators, giving you the right pitch, leaving it to you and your ear to tune your guitar right. Other applications are chromatic tuners, but it seems the perfect chromatic tuner application has not yet been developed. The apps are usually slow to recognize the pitch, and not accurate enough.

The younger generation of music students, who are used to have everything on the mobile, tends to use the online tuners or download tuner applications. But they too, once they get a bit more experienced or professional, will usually move on to get their electronic offline devices.

Debbie Barak, sales manager of Tanbi Music (manufacturers of a the recently launched Tanbi Music Metronome Tuner), says that although a definite decrease in sales of acoustic guitar tuners and electric guitar tuners is felt in all music accessories shops, online and offline, sales are still coming in, in a big enough quantity to justify the effort been put into it by the various music accessories companies.

One feature which is still missing in the various online apps is the clip-on tuner, which picks up the vibrations straight from your musical instrument, either by clipping the tuner itself onto the instrument or using a pickup cable, connecting the instrument and the tuner. Although in some cases an electric guitar may be connected to the mobile through its microphone exit so that the pitch can be detected directly, there is no such replacement to the acoustic guitar tuner.
