Sinatra Tribute Artist Drops in for the Wedding Reception of Christina and Frank Sinatra

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, October 15, 2013 ) Sterling Heights, MI – Las Vegas performer, Michael Carluccio, sang a dozen Frank Sinatra tunes for an hour at the Villa Penna reception for both the D’Agostino and Sinatra families.

“It’s great that the post Baby Boomer generation can appreciate the marvelous songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s,” gushed Carluccio. “It shows how universal the styles and music of Frank Sinatra (the singer) have become.”

The surprise appearance was planned by the bride-to-be almost a year ago when Christina contacted Carluccio. In the phone conversation, she confided in the Las Vegas performer to be discrete as the date approached for her wedding and reception.

As the moment approached, the wedding party of 18 members sat at the main table expecting the professional DJ, Boji, to roll out the hip tunes of Maroon 5, Pink and the Black-eyed Peas. But, instead, Boji introduced, straight from the Las Vegas entertainment stage, Frank Sinatra.

With a silk tie under a deep, charcoal suit; hat slanted, back brim curled up, front tugged down to a couple of inches above the right brow, Carluccio played the part to a tee. Walking in, as if he was strolling down Broadway, he went right into “Fly Me to the Moon.” That brought the house down! Everyone loved it. And, Christina pulled off a glorious surprise for her very impressed husband.

Michael moves back and forth through the late 1950’s, the 60’s and 70’s using his ‘thousand voices’ from Frank Sinatra to the personae of the Rock and Roll era: Neil Diamond, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, George Jones, Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Marty Robins, Willie Nelson, and, of course, the King – Elvis Presley!

Former Detroit News and Free Press writer, Dennis Nazelli, wrote that, “Michael Carluccio takes charge of everything in his performances down to the volume of speakers and microphone.” Nazelli went on to explain that, “I saw Michael use his marine sniper skills once at an outdoor party on an Ohio golf course. During his performance of Sinatra’s “Fly me to the Moon,” Mike took out his rifle with silencer and scope and disposed of an annoying Blue Jay.”
