Fireworks Photography At July 4th Party Captures Lightning By Shoot Digital Pics Like The Pros

iPhone Photography Tips

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, July 12, 2013 ) Las Vegas, NV -- You could say that some people just have all the luck in the world, but when Jason Smith, a photo minor at the University of New Mexico caught a lightning strike on camera at a private July 4th fireworks party, he just must have been over the moon. Photographer Smith is quoted as saying that he was on a roof top to get a better vantage point of the rising fireworks, when he could see a storm in the distance which appeared to be coming towards them. He added that he had his brand new Canon T3i all ready to go, and shortly after the timing of the lightning striking ground with the exploding fireworks managed to produce some of the most stunning Fireworks Photography he had himself ever seen, and it must be said that the combination of both effects happening simultaneously really do make for quite impressionable images.

Now not everyone has the chance to go to University like Jason does to master fireworks photography, and many people don't even have the patience to attend photography classes, and there are other people who just don't make the choice to even own a digital camera. But anyway, for all those people who possess an iPhone, then you are in for a real treat, as there are several features and apps that do help take some quite impressive Fireworks Photography.

What could be termed as acceptable fireworks photography can be a real challenge on any digital camera, but thanks to "cell phone masters" Apple, the iPhone has continued to have more apps made available, and a fair number which are especially used for the camera function, like the "tap to focus" feature, which will produce quality focused images. An even better function though is the "focus lock", which with just a touch will lock your focus settings, allowing photographers to just shoot away with controlled focus. The next app which is really worth a mention is the "slow shutter cam" which allows you keep the shutter open, giving you more time to capture the fireworks on display... and another great tip for any type of camera is to keep the flash turned off, as that would just produce poorly contrasted images. Anyone lucky enough to capture an image like Jason would be able to immediately share the picture with family and friends by using the Photostream app.

Fireworks photography really is something worth taking serious for all holidays, but America really was blessed this July 4th with that fantastic image by Jason Smith from New Mexico. Not sure if this is appropriate or not, but one of the all time great photography quotes was spelled out by a great president "Abraham Lincoln" who said "There are no bad pictures, that's just how your face looks sometimes". So for anyone looking to improve on their pictures, and doesn't have the time to attend photography classes, then go and check out the free photography guide available on the "Shoot Digital Pics Like The Pros" website.
