These series of action shots are meant to garner more attention for these athletes in the area, as well as a way for the staff's junior members to get some more work for their portfolios. The partnership is between the studio and some high-powered collegiate agents, who thought that the idea was a good thing, as it allows them to send pictures - as well as footage - to college recruiters who may be interested in enrolling the athletes at their school.
The owner of the Las Vegas firm says, "We think that it's an amazing idea. We're always looking for a way to help kids go to school, and while many of these athletes may have the pick of the litter, there are many of them who don't. It's our goal to spotlight some of the top-flight talent, as well as those kids out there who are hustling to get to a big name school. It also helps our younger and less experienced photographers get some more work, so it's definitely a symbiotic relationship of sorts."
The goal is to focus on some of the homegrown talent as well as branch out to other schools in the region who have some kids that are destined to play collegiate basketball. At current, there are over 10 schools in which the company is putting their focus, and they're even working with other Las Vegas commercial photography companies who are interested in assisting in the effort.
