Shumake acted as the business chair for the Ball - with responsibility for overseeing the many facets that lead to the events successful execution. The Ball took place on the evening of President Barack Obama’s second inauguration to office, and was actually steps away from the President’s official inaugural ball.

It is not clear at this time, whether that next event will be centered around the inauguration of the next U.S. President, or if there will be interim events hosted by the committee that “worked so diligently to execute this event.”
