(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, November 11, 2012 ) NSW, Australia -- The world’s largest hot-air balloon can now be added to the United Arab Emirates’ list of record-breaking feats.
The country already holds the record for biggest kebab, tallest tower, and most expensively dressed Christmas tree, as well as highest residence power. Now, the A6-BOB, flew high into the horizon of the Al-Ain desert just in time for 20 passengers witnessed the magnificent feat dawned in the sunrise.
The 40-foot balloon glided at 6,000 feet, giving photographers a chance to take photos from and of sand dunes, as the balloon swept above houses, parks, and arms. The balloon gave passengers an opportunity for a new are serene view of the country’s capital, Abu Dhabi.
BOB is the third in a series of the hot-air balloon fleet of Balloon Adventures Emirates. The company specializes in balloon tours of the country, and now can carry 70-80 people up to the sky above the Middle Eastern gem.
BOB can entertain passengers for up to an hour, depending upon weather, so they can enjoy the skies above the U.A.E. and the vast desert surrounding it.
Journalists and photographers were the first to be given the ballooning experience in the early morning, as they witness the rise the Middle East’s largest balloon.
“It’s very peaceful. When you live in Dubai it’s always noisy. It was really soothing to have silence, apart from the flame burning. Amazing sight and I recommend it highly,’ the British reporter, Steven Bond, said.
Fellow media representative, Musafir Khawaja, said he loved the cool breeze above the deserts.
“The flight was really nice. We liked the breeze towards the end. A bit of fog though, I was hoping I could see a lot of more stuff but anyway it was nice.”
Khawaja stated that he was wholly mesmerized as he was given the opportunity to take in the full landscape of the desert that has surrounded him for so long.
