(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, October 30, 2012 ) Anaheim, CA— The biggest boy band in Korea is currently on a roll, bringing their hottest pop tunes in the United States as part of their Alive World Tour. Big Bang is set to perform on November 2–3, 2012, Friday to Saturday, at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The show is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.
The Alive Tour 2012 is Big Bang’s first world tour, having found incredible success not only in Korea but in different parts of the world. It officially kicked off in Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium on March 2–4, 2012.
The boy band is presently under YG Entertainment. However, for the world tour, it tapped on the expertise and experience of Live Nation, which also organized and brought successful world tours of U2 and Madonna. In fact, Big Bang is going to be its first Asian managed tour.
Laurieann Gibson—who also headed Monster Ball Tour of Lady Gaga—is chosen to be the director of Alive Tour. She will work closely with Leroy Bennett, who handled stage and lighting of music giants such as the Eagles and Paul McCartney.

Fans will finally have their wishes come true, as the 5-member boy band will make various stops at different cities. Our sources at YG Entertainment have informed us that Big Bang will perform in 25 cities in 16 countries. According to Alan Ridgeway, the president of Live Nation, “We are very happy that we are working with YG Entertainment and Big Bang. . . . If this performance is a good starting point for the Korea branch we established last December, we expect it to contribute to the K-pop fever expansion.”
Big Bang is set to perform in more than 20 cities across 16 countries found in Europe, South and North America, as well as Asia.
The 5-member band is composed of TOP, Daesung, Seungri, G-Dragon, and Taeyang. The group catapulted to worldwide success because of their contemporary pop tunes, good looks, and modern fashion style. They are also known to write or compose their own music.
For the past 5 years, they’ve produced Asian hits like “Stand Up,” “Hot Issue,” and “Lies.” They also released “Haru Haru” and “Last Farewell.” They are also highly awarded team, bagging several recognitions form Seoul Music Awards such as Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Male Group. They are also popular in other Asian countries, especially Japan and the Philippines.
They eventually went into hiatus, with members pursuing their respective solo projects. In 2011, though, they reorganized and launched Tonight. They conquered MTV Europe Music Awards in the same year as Best Worldwide Act.
Alive was officially available in the market on February 29, 2012. The tracks “Fantastic Baby” and “Blue” received positive reviews and excellent places in both local and international charts. It’s also the first album from Korea to gain a spot in Billboard 200.
