TWICE NOT GUILTY – Media on Impeachment and Acquittal of Donald J Trump

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, February 13, 2021 ) Washington DC -- Whether you like the former U.S. President Donald John Trump or you hate him, the records remain he is the only President that has been impeached twice in the United States’ political history. However, it has been a feat for this guy to be acquitted twice. Don’t you agree? Well, let us see what top media outlets say in their headlines across the Internet.

WSJ - At the Wall Street Journal, the headline reads, “Trump is Acquitted in Impeachment Trial” while the sub headline explains, “Seven Republicans side with all 50 Democrats in voting to convict.”

CNN – The cable news network headlines as follows: “An Acquittal, but not an embrace” followed by a headline that says, “After Trump was acquitted, McConnell laid out a clear message: The ex-President can't be the future of the Republican Party.”

FOX NEWS reads “POLITICAL PAWNS,” and tags with a sub headline that points out “Trump teases what's next on tap following second impeachment trial acquittal.”

CBS News does not have a headline, but dedicated most of the home page to a full coverage with CBSN live at the top of the home page followed by multiple headlines on various angles of coverage of the impeachment trial.

ABC news, headlines with “Key takeaways from final day of Trump's 2nd impeachment trial,” followed by this subtitle “The Senate voted to acquit Trump, but it showed a split GOP.”

BBC – the British Broadcasting Corporation – a global but London based news agency subtly writes, “What verdict means for Trump, Biden and America.”

Aljazeria, another global media outlet based in Doha, Qatar writes “Donald Trump acquitted on charge of inciting US Capitol riot,” in its headline and elucidates in a sub headline, “US Senate fails to muster enough votes to convict the former president in his historic second impeachment trial.”

The ABC Australia, did not make the impeachment of Donald Trump front page news, but the headline was relegated to the World News section that reads, “ Donald Trump acquitted of incitement of insurrection in second Senate impeachment trial."
