(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 30, 2012 ) SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO – Celebrated landscape painter and colorist Marshall Noice's electrified landscapes in oil and pastels are bursting with color, brilliant hues that reflect the artist's deep love for the natural world. About 40 of Noice's new works are exhibited in "New Horizons: Marshall Noice One-Man Show," opening June 26th and on view through July 9th. An artist reception takes place Friday, June 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Noice's new work represents his recent trips to some of America's National Parks as well as travels through New Mexico and other landscapes. The show includes oil paintings as well as pastel sketches that were done in preparation for paintings.
"I have been working a little differently in subject matter," Noice says of his new work. "I've been working from sketches that I've done in a number of National Parks. I’ll be showing work from Smokey, Arches, Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. "
Noice lives in Kalispell, Montana and works in the Noice Studio and Gallery, housed in the former Silver Dollar Saloon, built in 1899. His work is in collections around the world, including Denmark's Muset for Kunst, the Bibliotheque National du France in Paris and The National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming.
His numerous awards include The Kodak Gallery Award for Excellence and the Montana Governor's Cultural Award Exhibit.
