The newest update from Google crippled many business owners that were relying on article marketing to major directories for traffic and link building. Many business owners lost their rank and as much as 50% online traffic (or more) to their site. That loss came down hard on major retailers, but it hit small business owners as well. It also came at a rough time, as the spring is when spending starts to ramp up.
With as much as 75% of the population doing online shopping searches as well as purchases, now is the best time to ensure that the online business is positioned appropriately and not relying on singular measures for traffic.
