FORT COLLINS, Colo.— Join Fit Ventures and Come Back to the Table on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., in bucolic Bellvue, Colorado, for an all-day retreat celebrating autumn's bounty with cooking and relaxing, restorative yoga sessions designed for all abilities. “Comfort Me With Apples,” will be hosted by local yoga instructor and founder of Fit Ventures, Carrie Bailey, and professionally trained chef and owner of Come Back to the Table, Linda Hoffman. Moving into the reflective, golden season of autumn, the menu will highlight produce from the on-site organic garden as well as from local and regional sources. Participants will gather mid-morning at Raindrop, a private, 26-acre retreat in Bellvue, Colorado, located in the foothills of the Rockies, just 20 minutes from Fort Collins. Set in a peaceful and secluded area, the retreat space includes red rock formations, wildlife, and an organic garden. The morning will begin with a 75- minute yoga refresher to wake up participants’ bodies and set the day's intention – to comfort and nourish our bodies and souls. Yoga will be followed by the first cooking session and a light lunch, and an on-site massage will be available after lunch on a first-come, first-serve basis at an extra rate of $40 for 40 minutes, with Raindrop owner/massage therapist, Tara Parr. Then, cooking will resume with a second session in the afternoon with the preparation of the evening meal. There will be free time to journal and explore the property during this day of renewal and nourishment, and in the early evening, participants will gather to share the bounty and end the retreat outdoors with a fireside reflection. The cost of the event is $125/person, and in the event of inclement weather, the reschedule date is set for October 24.
