(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 05, 2009 ) COLUMIBA, SC – MXL Microphones, a division of Marshall Electronics, will participate in “Getting Started in the Recording and Music Business,” a free seminar offered by SC-based Front End Audio and Midlands Audio Institute. The seminar will be offered twice: June 10th and June 13th 2009 in Columbia, South Carolina, and will offer guidance to hopeful musicians and recording engineers.
Roy Harper, Business Development Manager for MXL Microphones, will be a featured speaker at the event. A long time MI industry veteran, Harper will focus on recording technologies, as well as demo the latest MXL products. Other featured speakers include Midlands Audio Institute instructors Jay Matheson and Marty Fort who will demo Pro Tool equipment and Propellerhead Reason software. “I’m thrilled to be part this,” says Harper. “MXL believes in helping those just starting out, which is why we started our Educational Assistance Program. We’re going to make it fun too with MXL giveaways and door prizes.”
