A.C.T. and Lindy Kwock Urge Consumers to Consider Fashion Trends in Career Wear

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 14, 2009 ) Henderson, NV -- Lindy Kwock and her employer A.C.T. have good news for career women, it is acceptable to wear more fashionable clothing to work today. This of course assumes that an employer does not have a specific dress code in place that dictates exactly what employees can and cannot wear to work.

Today's fashion trends for career women allow them to select such options as dressy pants and a blouse, or a jersey knit and a skirt with or without a matching cardigan.

Kwock says, "fit is crucial. Pants should be fitted, but not so tight you see visible panty lines." Skirts should be loose enough to sit down comfortably and you should be able to button jackets. As always, blouses shouldn't be too low cut nor should there be a gap between buttonholes.

While it may seem petty, appearance is critical to first impressions in networking. Cosmetics, fragrance, accessories, clothing, grooming, and handbag really do matter. Not presenting a polished look is never acceptable in today's competitive work environments.

Even on the days your employer allows a casual dress code, avoid short skirts, low-cut necklines, too-high heels, too-tight clothes, and anything bordering too sexy.

"Two piece outfits are easy to mix and match," say Kwock. Navy blue, gray or black pairs-up nicely with softer feminine colors like sky blue, ivory or lilac.

When you are getting dressed for work, it is always nice to know you have a variety of options.

Jimmy Villarreal from Urge Entertainment, a talent agency based in Los Angeles with a presences in Atlanta, Georgia, always encourages the new fashion models his company represents to always "dress for success."

To assist both their students and the general public regarding fashion trends, A.C.T. has added a "fashion" category to its Internet blog. Lindy Kwock often contributes her fashion tips to the section.
