(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 25, 2008 ) KENT, CONNECTICUT – An exhibit of 15 new oil paintings by acclaimed New England artist Chris Armstrong opens December 6th at The Morrison Gallery in the Old Barn section of Kent. The exhibit, which will run through January 11th, will feature a wide variety of works on canvas, aluminum and panel.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, December 6th, from 4pm-6pm.
Chris Armstrong studied painting and art history in Florence, Italy before receiving his BA from Bucknell University. After graduation, he went on to receive his MFA from New York University. Chris’ pictures have been described by Cate McQuaid of The Boston Globe as “amazing,” and “Alive and ever so slightly promising of connection and hope" by Frederick G. Dillen, author of Hero and Fool.
It is ArmstrongÂ’s second exhibit at The Morrison Gallery, where he had a showing of his ocean paintings in 2005.
